I began studying photography in 2004 after taking photos at a horse racing event in California and receiving some promising feedback from friends. I decided to look into some college courses and found that not only did I have a talent for photography, but I enjoyed it immensely as well. I continued studying all aspects of the subject until I moved to Maryland and found a job at a photography company in Hanover. There I continued to learn about Photoshop and portrait photography as well as other aspects of the business.
I specialize in sports and animals with emphasis on equines, though I have been known to shoot wedding, maternity, and baby portraits on occasion. I enjoy working with all creatures, both big and small, with one exception: I don't do snakes or spiders! I love shooting action sports as well, though often I find that I get into cheering for the competitors and almost forget that I hold a camera!

You can't beat a great husband & wife team and this one takes the cake. Emily Shields of SimHorseRacing.com and Dave Sheilds of Ekawa Design are both extremely talented in their own right. While Emily works hard to provide a comfortable and friendly environment in the form of a simulated horse racing game, her husband Dave provides the game's intricately detailed graphics. In their spare time, they also enjoy photography, music, and graphic design. They are based in sunny Southern California.

This is another one of those great husband & wife teams. Jason & Becky Montgomery of J&B Photography are a great pair who specialize in wedding and family portraits. I worked side by side with Jason for three years in the photography business and has seen his work first hand. They are kind, patient and very talented...and they have also begun to work in aerial photography! They are also Maryland-based.
